Big Name Chargers Worth It?
Hi All
Wanted some opinion on chargers. I currently have a powertech charger which is much the same as the the BC6 etc. I have just purchased a load of new Plazma Pro saddles, a pricey investment for multiple sets, and so I want to ensure they are properly looked after. My current charger seems to be fine with balancing cells to the same voltage, other than when the cells are cheap hobbyking specials, but I was wondering whether the big brand name chargers are really any different, or if they are worth spending on. I was looking at the Orion Touch, but don't wanna spend on a new one if there is no real difference. Cheers, Steve

the main difference is with the cheap chargers you don't really get any warranty/support and isn't as accurate as the more expensive chargers.
The team orions are quite accurate. But they are still pricey if you compare £ per Watt, compared to the high end chargers. Nice chargers though, I have an IQ605 and also a PL8. |
