One of the best mods on my xx4 is this caster block screw set for the front wishbones

Get it up and running! I ran mine for the first time last weekend at the last NE regional. Best result to this year was 9th in the B then with the XX4 qualified 5th in the A and finished 6th. car was just awesome all day. Got so many people come up and look at it and comment on how good it looked on track. It is THE BEST 4wd fact
But on topic the rear wishbones and hubs off the XXX CR look good as well as making the car better, Alloy outdrive savers, carbon battery straps and shock tower strengtheners, front CVD's look good as well. I have some blue alloy wing mounts im never going to use. PM me if you're interested. |

I would suggest replacing all belts and pullies as a matter of course unless they look mint because they are a pain to service trackside.. then if you are putting 6.5/5.5 brushless system in set your slipper carefully especially if on high grip.
Front shock tower strengthener definitely worth doing. The rest is fairly robust really IMO. Can do the CR rear end mod and the centre belt pulley mod but not essential.

oh, quite a few change the front wishbones to medium flex CAT sx ones as they fit perfectly. Mainly because they are cheaper I think and easier to get hold of.

a Trinity aluminium motor clamp was a must back in the day to stop the motor slipping out of position/mesh under heavy load or jump landings...
they are fairly hard to find these days... Trinity servo mount stops servo twist too.... both these can fetch a premium because of that but maybe oOple can help with the wanted section... otherwise it's constant ebay searching! we used to dremel cut the rear belt/chassis top cover at an angle so the side belt could be changed quicker/spur gear etc accessed without removing rear shock tower etc... bit harder to justify that one when chassis parts are hard to get and scarcer these days. XX4 is an awesome car and really looking forward to getting my brand spanking new one running... it's being built from NIP parts |

Trinity Blue alloy frond out drive sleeves. Rear Steel outdrives. Trinity Steering servo stay. XXX-CR rear arm and hub conversion. Associated B44 brace lower battery, battery posts and top brace batter stays. This works best with the original non slotted chassis but the WC works too. MIP Hardened Chrome CVD's all round. MIP Titanium turn buckle & hinge pin set. Front and Side Blue low Friction belts from the Street Weapon (yes i had one it was epic too) Green rear belt. Clicker disabled with hub bearing spacer in between the spring and nut. Trinity Motor Clamp. Heavy duty servo saver (a must) Kevin Moore's set up from Tiverton Hassle Area. (it works everywhere) though the only thing i change is either front springs from silver or Green front spring and oil weights. I tend to run the front diff tightened up all the way and release 1/8th of a turn and the rear 2-3/8th's Hope this helps matey =)

All good suggestions... I'd be interested to see that kevin moore setup. Mine was copied off danny mc gee but may well be based around the same or similar.
I was in two minds about cutting rear belt cover cause of flex, but agree it means miles more serviceable front and centre belts. In my mind that was the only real flaw in the car. It's ace!

Well the progress on the car is good. I am getting parts slowley that I need to replace it. I have put a wanted section up asking for specific items and willing to trade other losi spares as i am accumulating loads of them - just not the dam parts i need.
Can i get a stainless screw set for it. I put a steel rear diff in and used the outdrive savers on the front diff. I also got with the car the xfactory braces for shock towers which was good and a carbon rear hinge pin holder. However it look pretty rubbish design in regards to the hinge pin holder - how do i stop it slipping off. Also what sort of posts and braces fit the car re lipo running. b44, fs2? thanks guys

It's what I'm going to be doing to my XX4WE when I get the parts. My car is totally rebuilt, just need to get electrics and fit ! Question ! Are you going to run the standard shocks or the TLR22 Shocks like Bloomfield I've fitted the 22 shocks to mine and they feel very smooth .

Here's a pic of mine with Cat SX arms, yes they go straight on and you can use Losi pins. I have used SX Yokes as they are the same as the cut down Losi ones. Just waiting for a Kyosho Ball end set to beef up and metric up the front some more, E-speed towers on way to.
You can also use an RB6 front brace across the front of the XX4 something i will do when i have time, it needs a little fettling.

Yep, using CAT SX arms on the front of mine and an old XXX front brace - someone at your club must have one of these kicking around their pit box!. Arms are a straight swap but the brace needed a little careful clearancing of the front bulkhead.

Tried to get them through DMS but they no longer have the fronts so, i ended up buying the front tower brace and rear link bracket from Fibrelyte.
