Question FS2 Slipper setup question

Does anyone have any more detailed guidance on when to run the slipper pinned and as seperates? I know most people seem to run it pinned all of the time, but I'm wondering what the effect of running it as seperates is, and generally when it's a good idea.

I unpin it when I don't want to make the rear slide on-power, exiting turns. I also think it helps on really bumpy, rutted tracks.

Cheers guys, very useful... Tony, completely agree, never unpinned mine either! It was only the Big Bore setup on your site that made me think about it as it shows 'seperates'.

Well Its important to know you should run it unpinned or pinned depending on grip and driving conditions.
I believe that with Pinned you get permanent 4wd so More possible acceleration. Unpinned it allows the power to go to the wheels which are not losing traction, Also it should give you more Turning.
Its really an important tuning option, I would say pinned is maybe a little easier to drive generally but tends to push a bit more when on power cornering.
That's Just my Opinion

Cheers Neil, that makes a lot of sense as was kinda what I was thinking when I looked at how it all worked. Might do some playing next time I'm at the track I think...

I almost never run mine pinned!! Car is much more agressive unpinned and I like that.

I also like the fact that with the red/white pads option you get a little less tendency to block the front wheels under braking which I also like.

Only time I run pinned is if I am REALLY struggling for grip (like wet grass / polished wood)
