Default Hobbywing card - USB error

I know have two home PC's that used to run the Hobbywing program card but no just throw USB errors up connection to the laptop.
Lets not forget that this is all before I start the HW program etc etc etc.

So, has anyone else come across this?

Not had the 'USB' error message, but my HW software failed to connect with the box or the speedo after not having been used for a while. It wouldn't connect with my old v2.1 (previously OK) or my new v3.1. I downloaded the latest software from their site into a new location (folder) with it's own icon, launched it and all was well. I hope that might help.

Windows had an issue not recognising USB devices. Try Google

No help, but you're not alone.

I have this on my pc. As soon as I plug it in, it detects it, but when you look at Device Manager it keeps resetting it.

Never could figure it out. Tried every USB port, un- and reinstalling HW software, usb port drivers. It's working on my laptop and another PC so I gave up.

The first thing I would look at is the device drivers - both for your USB ports, but also for the HW card.

What version of Windows are you using, and do you have problems with any other USB devices?

Following on from this info:

I would go into the log files to see if any automatic updates have happened since the HW Card last worked. It may be that some new chipset / device drivers have caused a problem.

Yes as Andy said above. Windows sometimes does automatic updates. The new drivers windows 'thinks' are right sometimes dont work.

Unistall the software and uninstall the driver that is trying to run the usb from device manager (while its plugged in)

Then download and install the software again. I think this will fix it.
