To Oli:
LA-9 is bigger as the lost trust-bearing. The lost one had the same diameter as the scatched washer. Look at the foto please! The shown LA-9 ist out of my Lazer ZX The layshaft of my ZX-RR has narrow the spurgear under the spring-coil a thinner size |

yeah when backstrom didnt got to start we really lost our last true center and "spjut spets" and with all the other set backs it didnt look that well. i think that if hagelin had scored there in the first period not just hitting the post it would have been an different game, the more the game went on the sweedes looked more and more taken by the moment and the fact that they missed backstrom was kind of obvius. mvh Isobarik |

The trust-bearing sits above the other bearing. The size of the other bearing that fits in the hole of the spurgear should have 4x8, 3x6 for the trust-bearing seemed to be ok. But where can I get tis very smal trust-bearing, what is the part-number?
I dont wont to buy a complete set LAW with the hyperclutch. I think the hyperclutch should also work with washers instead the trust-bearing. Regards Ralf |

Ralf, I checked the instruction sheet from LAW12 for you and the partnumber from the thrust bearing shows H3051! See attachment mate.

Hi Ralf.
I've got a trust bearing left in my LAW-12 packet as it's unused in the ZX-S Evo and replaced with a brass bush. £5 + postage to you good sir.

ZX-S parts to CNC
Hi chaps.
Well unsurprisingly I've hit a wall with some parts for my latest ZX-S Evo build. Some I thought were not hard to get. I need: The LA-108 motor plate LA-103 plastic parts & LA-128 front hubs So what I want to do is machine them myself but I need some measurements. Can you guys help? I wont worry about the hubs for now as I'm sure some'll turn up. But these LA-103 parts are all very simple and would be a doddle to make. Let me know if you can help. Cheers Nick

ZX-S parts to measure
Hi peeps
These are three of the easier parts to make from LA-103 and hopefully can be measure without completely stripping a car. No.65 from this picture in the manual.

broke front arm yet again
Ran my laserlised Mid yesterday and yet again broke another front MPP lazer arm, this time I noticed the crack before catastrophic failure occurred.
I also bent one LA245 CVD at the bone area. Good news is the standard Lazer ZX aluminium rear shock tower held up fine without bending. I have opened up my last bag of LA-26 and hopefully this time these wont break. I broke my last LA-26 last early year at the inner hingepin area. I wonder if these arms go brittle over time cause I never broke them back in the day, but then again, I never drove the car this hard BITD either. I also use an oil spray to clean up the arms then rinse with water, I wonder if this WD-40 type spray is penetrating the pores in the arm's plastic and weakening it. These original Kyosho arms are also much much stiffer than the Nylon after market ones made by MPP, trinity and RPM. Perhaps I should make my own lazer arms ..The ones I made for the Mid looks really beefy but haven't tried them out yet. Another round of testing today ! |

Which shock tower are you running these days and how many more of those MPP arms do you have left?
I could use a set for my shelfer tub if you want to sell some new ones rather than have them break in action

I believe my old LA-26 may have broke because I used RCPS titanium hingepins which were 3.175mm diameter, resulting in me having to drill out the arms to fit these hingepins. Maybe this may have weakened the arm. this is a pic of my machined optima mid front arm. From touch, I feel this arm is very beefy and strong. Dare I say stronger than the Kyoshos. |
