Here is how my B42 looks at the moment..
I reduced the ballast from 87g to 52g. Since I'm using a rather thick anti-roll bar, I softened the rear shocks: oil is Losi 27.5, pistons Losi 55, springs Associated BB white. ..And I am running foams on carpet. The rear upper plate is made out of fiberglass, same weight, better looks. Feels so good!!

From a personal point i run the ballast weight and use a brass bulkhead if i feel the car needs it,shocks wise i have run big bore and small bore and on both i have used the same weight oil,32.5 front and 27.5 rear, other than that the rest of the setup has been how i have taken the parts off the donor cars so front and back end links would be pretty close to kit manual setup.
I cant think of any other changes i have made but it has been a few weeks since the car has been on track,i have been side tracked working with the 4wds and the mid motor cars

Hi chaps,
I am finally getting around to building my Cobra B42 (b44.1/b4.1). I have noticed that some of you run the rear shocks on the back of the wishbone and some run them on the front of the wishbone. Is there a benefit of position over the other? Cheers Adz |

I found with the shocks on the rear it gave more rear end grip and took a little front end away,i changed to the shocks back in front and the front end was superb and felt really locked in,i added the ballast weight in the spine of the chassis and that gave plenty of rear end,for me now shocks on the front
Mounting the shell i have just bent some lexan and stuck it to the chassis on the front, then just use velcro and a bodyclip to hold the rear on
