Default Newb Question: Diff Oil Viscocity

Seen so much conflicting information on this one, as a newbie I am still unsure.

if I am running 5k diff oil in a 2WD buggy, and I switch it to 10k what effects will it have?

I have read that it will give me more on power steering, and less rear grip, but then I have also read that thicker oil will give me less steering?

Unfortunately everybody has a different take on what a setup changes your best bet is to try it and put the effects in your own words

I've never used a gear diff but I guess it's the same for ball diffs

I find a loose diff (thinner oil) gives gives more steering into a corner but less out and tight diff (thicker oil) gives less in, more out

The best thing is to try it and see how you get on
