I used sticks for years and recently changed to a wheel. I find the wheel so much easier to use, the movements feel more natural and smoother. So it's a big yes to a wheel tranny.

Wheel personally find it more comfortable al through with Spekturm I have always made the thortle spring slightly tighter and wheel slightly looser to prevent spring snaps common in the Spekturm range

I was bought up on sticks back in the 80's lol
So when I restarted racing a few years back it was logical to just go back to sticks again. I have tryed steering wheel but I just don't seem to gell with them.

I started with sticks over 10 years ago as that's what all the drivers around me were using. I switched to a wheel nearly 2 years ago for a more positive way to hold the handset. I would never go back now. It took a while to switch over, but for me the wheel is way better.

Sticks, been using them for 33 years so don't even have to think about it, with wheel I've still got to think what I'm doing with the throttle. I can drive with both but have never got anywhere near the same smooth, fine throttle and brake control with a pistol grip.

When I beagn racing I was given sticks and later on when the sponsership came I was loaned a wheel but just couldnt use it as well so stuck with sticks. I find using sticks I am much more in control.

Wheel.
I replaced my Futaba 2DR stick transmitter with a Futaba Mega Tech Sport T2PC wheel sometime back in 97 or so when wheel transmitters started to become affordable in the UK. I never looked back! I find wheels far superior in terms of ergonomics, intuitiveness and smoothness. Currently use a FlySky GT3B which I find pretty good for the money. I don't think it will outlast my T2PC or Kyosho Perfex KT-2, those are ancient now and still going strong My 4 year old son uses them with his TL01 scaler. |

Sticks for me as well.
Raced back in the 80's on sticks, then moved over to Helis and planes. Got Back into RC Racing last year and tried a steering wheel and was hopeless, went back to sticks and was slightly less hopeless. My son on the other hand hates sticks for driving even tho he uses sticks for his helicopters |

Sticks because the braking movement feels much more natural.
I also feel my gingers are quicker and more precise than a wrist movement for the steering. |
