Default Cat SX wing holder

Any suggestions how to replace original? I managed to break both rubber o-rings in 4 practice runs in Vienna. Or do you have any trick to make them more durable?

I use Kyosho ZX5 wing holders, they fits well. And is hard to broke.. Have running the same Kyosho car in three seasons with the same wing holders..

Been running the same 4 o-rings for about 7 or 8 meetings now!!! Did you have any big crashes? They shouldnt break within that amount of time!!Someone told me you can use cable ties to secure your wing if you use them just like you would with the O-rings. Or try and find some thicker O-rings.

Any modifications? My XX4 wing mount doesn't look like direct fit.

Do you use 4 o-rings at time?
No they weren't big, just ordinary roll on leaving corner tabletop

Chamfer the edge of the top button. Originally this holder was designed for only one O-ring.Two rings just need to have a little more room and the sharp edge of the button just cuts it.

Hotbodies fit on with a squeeze, but the tamiya ones are the best.

This is what most of our local Cat SX owners do, the Schumacher U725 Crashback bands do the trick well, only one O ring per mount needed and much stronger

The Tamiya part number is 51271. Wing mounts come with body mount, front and rear bumpers as you can see on picture below

Default Kyosho ZX5 wing mounts

Kyosho ZX5 wing mounts is similar, maybe a little lower wing position than Tamiyas.

I think Kyoshos is easier to find in shops.

And fit direct on shock tower.

Yes.. correct.. I like the kyosho more than tamiya, because Kyoshos have clips/washer than Tamiya with screw/small washer. So you have to find some small body clips to.
