I heard a rumour it went for 5 tokens off the back of rice krispies and a walnut whip.

I dont think people should really talk about financial deals on a public forum, i know i wouldn`t like it if i had just sold or bought a company.

yeah we shouldn't speculate about what lewis paid or didn't pay for TTech.
Talking about the value of RC in general etc is cool

you'd need a shop, lease or buy/mortgage
stock, spares for each make/model of car, several of the popular parts.
tyres, speedos, kits etc
Not sure on the deal with the distributors, but would imagine some sort of credit terms so you don't need to splash out on the stock up front.

advertising to get you're new shop recognised.
staff, i doubt if you could handle all the calls, mail order, customers on your own.

it won't be cheap!!

I heard that with schuey you have to buy £3000 worth of stock from them before they will deal with you as a distributor

Setting out new is always expensive, buying a business is out, on an initial layout issue, but most times, you end up having to take on debts or outstanding balances of transactions and the such.

When you start up, most distributors will limit you to a set amount, or a minimum order amount.
