White line tape
Does anybody know where I can get tape for sticking on the outside of a bodyshell for decoration ? I want some thin (like, 3-5mm) white tape to cover my abysmal masking job (hey, it's the first shell I've used more than one colour on!).
Or even knowing what the stuff is called so I can search for it on Google would be useful . Thanks. |

Pop into Halfords and see if they have any pinstripe decals in, the kind that runs down the side of older cars.

your problem will be getting it to stick to the curves, might need to use a hairdryer to make it more plyable.

Im pretty sure pactra do something similar. You want to nip into ashop that specialise in planes and heli's etc.
As DCM said you will need to warm it up as you apply it. |

Why not use one of the old tamiya paint pens and draw it on the outside !

How badly did it bleed? If it is only in small places, when you apply any stickers you probably wont notice. Long website stickers are a personal favourite of mine for hiding bad paint jobs! Something to remember is that anything applied to the outside of a shell will get dirty/chipped very quickly and might end up looking worse than a wonky line in the paint!

Thanks for all the advice. The paint didn't bleed that badly, but now that I've tried to be artistic I figure I may as well try and make a good job of it! Besides, I reckon it'll look better with some white on it too. Kind of came out darker than I'd expected (that'll be black paint for you then ).
Now, if only I knew of a place to buy stickers ... |
