speed in this class really goes down to what esc u have. but motor wise the gm is quickest and runs cooler than the rest. the novak is quick aswell.

I would recommend the losi 13.5 motor
Cheap
Lots of power
Brilliant with a Lrp Sphere Tc Spec speedo

Ok thats a good esc with variable timing etc. So definately go for a GM as they are the quickest and run coolest and will be very quick with ur esc. The Tekin motors are also good but dont run as cool as the GM's as the GM's have cooling holes.

TBH i wouldnt recomend a Losi, Just my opinion.

Ive tried the losi and LRP x11 and found them good but must say not as good as the GM starwind.
The GM is much faster and run's cooler

Speed Passion 13.5t's are very fast spinning, but not very powerful. I've been looking at a CS Electronics 13.5t, which while not being very fast spinning (2750kv vs 3600kv of the Speed Passion) is a very powerful motor, boasting 260w of power, whereas the Speed Passion only has 165w of power.

With a Tekin or SPX the trinity duo is quick! Lately I have been running a ballistic 13.5 though. Im not a fan of trinity. But there motor is fast!

Wish I could try a GM 13.5. To much money to get one over to me though

The Corally Red Series sensored are supposed to be really good too. 400W according to Corally and a touring car freak friend of mine.

Yes chris your right, ive heard that actually since the above post. I also have heard that the rotor shaft on the tekin motors are very soft where you tighten the pinion.

The new speed passion 3 motor is a very good tough motor that runs very cool compared to others even compared to the GM due to the wires from the esc going directly on to each of the phase wires. This makes them very efficient but they dont quite have the top end.
