This weekend Wouter Wijnen, Steven Verelst and I used the CR2 for the first time in a National (we have a combined series of Belgian and Dutch drivers) @ Charleroi, the first National of the year.
Not only did Wouter take TQ, all 3 of us made the A final, and the infamous Willy from Kampenhout qualified 20th out of 47 drivers (became 16th after the finals). Wouter took a very deserving win by taking 2 out of 3 qualifiers, something he would repeat during the finals to take home victory for Atomic Carbon. With us using the CR2 and Freud the S2, 40% of the A final was Atomic Carbon ![]() Results: http://www.myrcm.ch/be/bbrc/07032010...WT2/index.html |

AE rod ends indeed give more droop. What do you mean with rear arms? Wheelbase was set to long. Personally I also made a mod to the front hubs. I dremel off some material so I can mount them more forward. So in fact I have a wheelbase adjustment in the front. Making the wheelbase longer in the front results in less wheelie effect, keeps the front flatter, adds stability. In fact you are making wheelbase longer, and at the same time you get more weight % on the rear wheels. Like it a lot :-D Losi is short compared to B4, and very short compared to X6, so a little more length doesn't hurt. |

Not sure why I'm in this thread but anyway, Losi arms are offset i.e. non reverable. The old ones had an L or R on them and the new ones 1 pip or 2. I can never remember which way round but it effects the wheelbase by a few mm's.

Lol, it's important as it makes a difference to driveshaft angle as well

So, what is the standard way of mounting those arms? Shorter or longer WB?

I guess short otherwise the shafts will point towards the rear which isn't good.
But simply check the CR manual and you know which way around you have to mount them. |

I just checked the online Cr manual, it says that 1 dot is for the left and 2 dots is for the right side. So this is the long setup.
I wondered why my car was at the 65/35 weight split without any lead weight, but I mounted the arms backwards, with the shorter wheelbase, more weight being on the rear. Well, another thing to try.

Another way to put it would be to say the A final was 60% X-Factory ![]() Or, in yet another way: 0% rear-motored ![]()
