Default SPECKRUM Q'S

Guys,

Im looking to upgrade to Spectrum with the micro reciever thats also available for my Sanwa Super Exzes in both 2wd and 4wd.

Just wondered if theres any advice anyone has for using this system and what i will need to do with my other electrics if anything??

Once this is sorted i will probaly go for the Novak GTB Spectrum version so with this all in mind is it as simple as.....Purchase, fit and forget or are there any other things I would need to consider?

Matt

you may need to buy a capacitor to plug into the receiver but thats about it. you can also have more than one receiver bound to the same transmitter module.

Do it OJ, I absolutly love my Spektrum, it's just so handy. I use both the std size and micro receviers and have no probs with either. I do run a 7.2V servo which I imagine helps but with PTs on both cars I've never had any issues, though I did make up some cap kits as like an extra protection.

Little Ben has/had a GTB in his XX4 so it must be possible, though granted I do imagine it's tight in there.

When i had spektrum in my Sanwa Super Exzes i used the Spektrum micro in both my cars and had the optional caps fitted as i got some glitches when going hard from a standing start, but after they were fitted all was fine. I think MRT also do a power cap for the reciver.

Surprisingly the mirco receviers are suppossed to have the better voltage protection. You can make a cap kit for nothing though from an old recevier plug and cap. I blagged a couple off Northy but it's the kind of thing loads of people have lying around in their pit boxes.

I will be running a 7.2v servo too so thats good to know, also no PT at mo.

I haven't looked into logistics of getting the speedo in yet so thats something i will look at as i've not seen it in the flesh but surely no bigger than LRP/Nosram is it?

Matt the Novak speedo is quite a bit bigger than the LRP speedo, and the power cap is bigger as well.

As for the Spektrum I use the micro receivers with the voltage protection cap just for peace of mind.

Running the original Spektrum reciever in mine with an LRP Sphere Comp TC and not needed the cap. The Novak is indeed a fair bit bigger than the LRP speedo .. part of the reason I went for an LRP speedo.

Ok cheers Bri and Roger, good info.

On the Spektrum side again would I be right in saying that the Super Exzes version is the same as the pistol grip M11? Having had a look on a few sites I cannot find an Exzes version of its own so im guessing the one I need is the one used for the whole Sanwa range?

I guess that is a long winded way of asking for the part number from those in the know.

Matt
Running the Pro version Spektrum system with the Sanwa Super exzes Transmitter.
Part number for that is spm1012. Same as the M11/M8 version.
Hope this helps you out.
