Default SC10 Truck help

I have just bought an SC10.

It was a standard model with all Factory Team upgrades other than the ball diff. Is this a necessary upgrade?

Power comes via a castle creations short course sidewinder combo and I am a bit of a novice so accidents do happen

Also I will try to jump the jumps if you know what I mean.

If I need one does anyone have one? Many thanks

My SC10 is upto FT specs now without the ball diff. The thing with the gear diff is that it is tuneable like an 1/8 scale buggy diff ie its sealed.

I have two gearboxes for mine, one diff is filled with Associated`s black grease, the other diff is filled with 10,000 wt oil.

My immediate answer would be NO.....
If you've just bought it and it has so many upgrades - run it as it is, try it on track first, I reckon the ball diff is not an essential part.

My SC10 is box standard with the original brushed motor and goes really well against all the other branded 2WD SCT's (it has more potential than I do!) the only thing I'm lacking is a bit of straight line speed.

Don't succumb to all the hype, spend any spare cash on extra batteries or tyres - the SC10 is great straight out of the box.

use 15000 wt to 20000 wt in diff and it will be realy good.
Fastrax do this weight at good money.
any less than 10000 wt and it will be hard to drive.
