Servo saver block in Dex410
Hi,
In some side position of steering the saver function of servo saver is blocked by servo body. Marked by red arrow on the picture below. I.e. steering works but red part of servo-saver can't go down therefore saving functionality of servo saver does not work. How to solve the issue ? Appreciate any comments and advise. |

Place the whole lot on a flat surface and loosen the 4 screws that hold the servo in , put abit of pressure down on the servo to make sure it is hard against the flat surface then re tighten , if you understand what I mean this should give you the extra 0.5-1mm extra clearance you need.
It's making sure the servo is flat against the chassis. Hth |

Hope I understand. Thank you very much Andyp. I guess that was the reason of servo arm "teeth brake off".
Will try in the evening and reply. |

Followed the advice from Andyp and now the gap is 1-1,5mm. Hope it is enough.

+1 Just make sure the servo is in line with the bottom of the mount.
I have the same servo and its never been an issue |

Servo is in parallel with bottom but I can't make it to touch bootom. It has very few space (less than 1mm) between bottom and servo body.

shave the holes on the mounting points ever so slightly to lower it down enough?

I don't think any of the replies solve the problem, or am i missing the point?
Sure, shaving the holes or holding the servo on a flat surface etc will give clearance for the servo saver to stop rubbing the servo under normal use but there's no where near enough space to allow the servo saver to operate as intended, and to actually "save the servo" The red alloy arm has to be pushed down and compress the spring to allow the top plastic arm to still rotate, the arm needs to move down a good 5mm to do any good - just as it does when on full lock the other way. I'm not saying that it causes any problems any many people will say they've never had any problems with teeth stripping (including me), but does the servo saver work the same amount on left and right lock? |

I replaced the 2 piece DEX410 saver with the 1 piece DESC410R part. No problems, and no broken servos, provided you use one of good quality.

I checked mine with a KO servo and I have <1mm onto the servo
Will have to look into a saver on the arm really |
