Just wondering if anyone has changed from stick transmitter to steering wheel? Thinking of joining the dark side, and was wondering how hard the transition was.
I have always used sticks and got back into racing last year with a cheap Absima stick transmitter which I think is now holding me back. It seems if I want to upgrade to a mid range stick transmitter like a Futaba T4GRS its around £270, but i seem to be able to get the equivalent wheel for less than half the price which is why I am thinking of changing.

I was in a similar position to yourself, I used sticks back in the 80s but when I came back last year all the cheap stuff was wheel. I can use both but I'm definitely better with sticks.
You can get hold of the T4GRS for around £100-150 2nd hand depending on what comes with it, it's what I did and I'm glad I held out. ![]() There's also the previous one, the 3GR. Slightly slower response time but for a mere club driver like me I wouldn't notice a difference. Mate got one 2nd hand a while back for £60 ish. Is there anyone at your local club who would let you have a go with a decent set to try?

Keep an eye out for a Sanwa Gemini X used for about £80 with a Receiver. Just as fast as the latest kit.

Cheers will keep an eye out.
Is Sanwa gear good these days? I didnt rate it highly back in the 90's and preferred Kopropo and Futaba gear.
