Here's his rediculous paint scheme.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ROFLROFL I think I just shit myself

Brian, you are losing against everything driving around your track (unless it's piloted by small children) and still you go on about how you'd do this and do that and nobody wants to drive against you because of your crazy skillz... Do you not want to understand that the most expensive kit and fastest motor will not make you the fastest guy on the track?!?!

The ridiculous paint scheme you mention would obviously look much better with a set of blue painted wheels with sharpie detailing...

Dude why don't you just chill out and do things normal people do instead of trying to be captain underpants all the time?
Run a regular class with a regular car/truck and have fun

@ SHY still haven't got round to making the duck but the potatos where insane!!! Someone I was telling knew the way to make them and apparently they are called swedish potatos too

I stumbled on to the 501 thread on rctech last night, Bmag genius at work!

I really hope he decides to post and is onform when he gets up, loving it!!

Oh, and Brian, whilst I'm too stubborn to quite trying yet, I've been trying to run 2 different types of car (soon to be 4!), and its the worst idea ever for improving your driving, I speak from experience! They handle differently and it stops you learning! I'd get something popular, copy some setups then keep driving it till your close to the others!

Good christ! I hadn't given it a minute of thought
I'll be introducing them as norwegian potatos to anyone I cook them for from now on

I thought it was Finland and Sweden that didn't gel all the time...

Thanks a lot guys! Now I'll never want those yummy potatoes ever again...

Swedish potatoes? They only eat mashed potatoes = "mos"/"potatismos"

While we're still totally sidetracked... have you guys tried to make chocolate fondant (lava cake)? Very easy and you impress a lot come dessert time!!!

Your AE biased. Well, sometimes it's better to have a backup plan in case
one car breaks the other car can come out of hiding....
I rather finish the race then win it at this point.
At the last 2 point series races I wasnt able to attend, because I
had issues with both cars and they had to be repaired.
Luckly that stuff was under warrenty and just traded my old novak motor
and esc for a faster motor and new esc.
I'm not that bad anymore, but in jan on that video was my first BIG race
with the B44. I DONT CRASH THAT OFTEN ANYMORE.
Wes told me today it's the way the car was setup, not my driving.

I have driven my 501x and it's much eaiser to drive than my B44 is.
But why race a 500 dollar car, when you have a cheaper car you can run
that the shops stock parts for?
I got those extra 501x parts so I dont have issues later.

I fell sorry for the nitro racers, since gas prices have or are gonna skyrocket soon
Nitro methane is going to 35 dollars a gallon.
I run pretty much all Losi/Xfactory and I am AE biased. Get Real!!! I am not trying to bash the 501X just saying that they are buggies with similar capabilities. Just that usually your backup is the same buggy as your main one. Have to switch between two different buggies demands you have to change your driving style for each buggy. Not a good idea as each different buggy drives differently. Also, it is not a good idea to race with the 1/8 scale buggies with a 4wd electric. More than likely the first time you get hacked you will be broken. This happens alot in 1/8 scale. If you do not care about getting your buggies destroyed go ahead. More power to ya! You should really consider the electric truck class. Will definately improve your driving. It is very fun too.

But after browsing ebay parts are hard to get for it.

I have been racing a B44 for 5 months, 2 1/2 months I was racing T4's
and other 2wd trucks. I really dont want another r/c I have 13.
Why run a B44 or other 4wd buggy when everyone around me is running nitro or a T4? doesnt make a whole lota sense to me, I guess they are wanting me to blow more money on something I dont even need.

I like staying in one class and getting good with that class, before going into another class.

I do plan on running my monster truck as soon as the HVMAXX gets here.
I was a whole lot better in monster truck than I was in 4wd modified.
In 2005, they jumped down my throat saying
"IF no electric monster trucks show up, then your not gonna be racing"
That was 2 or so years ago, then when I got the B44 I thought I could race it everywhere, and people would be interested in 4wd buggy, but
that has diminished in my local racing area. 2 people in my hometown
have a B44, the others are either nitro or T4 owners.

And the other B44 owner said the B44 is made for indoors, not outdoors on loose dirt. :/

I am gonna be tottally pissed off If I get an e-revo and I cannot race that either....

I think most are so jelous that I have these 2 4wd buggies, they think I dont deserve them.
I have been racing for 6 years, 3 years in monster truck, 3 years in 4wd buggy.
I have 2 trophies from when I raced an e-maxx, and got killed by revo drivers.
They are both 3rd place but still....
Parts for the XX-4 are not hard to get. There are plenty of places that carry a good supply of parts for this buggy in the States. Still the reason the guy said he had a XX-4 for a backup is because his main buggy is a XX-4! If you have to have another r/c get a truck. That way if you go to a race and the 4wd class does not make you have something you can more than likely race! Most places will not let you run 4wd electric in the truck class unless it is novice. You do not get many popularity points for winning the novice class I assure you. And once you win so many times they usually will not allow you to run novice class anyway.

Brian,

Seriously, try what Dave, Lee and everyone else is saying. PUT A SLOWER MOTOR IN YOUR CAR!!!!!!

I am the first to admit it - I am crap at racing my car (DCM will testify to that!), bashing outside the house and down the local park I am a driving God (to quote Richard Hammond from Top Gear), or at least I think I am, but racing is totally different as I have found out over the past 5 months after getting back into the hobby after a 12 year or so break.

I changed my Mamba Max 5700 in my XXX-CR to a standard 19T brushed and have improved shed loads - my lap times are down, my car control is up and I spend my time getting marshalled less and less everytime I go racing! I also took this approach in my touring car over winter with pretty much the same results.

These guys know what they are on about - trust them about this. They have been racing for years to an extremely high standard. I did and I'm glad I did!

Just in case you missed the point - PUT A SLOWER MOTOR IN YOUR CAR!!

Default 2wd Truck it is

I just ordered a LRP brushless system 9.5 Eraser system and
a E-Firestorm RTR.

I will shock golfland when I run this truck.
Maybe the 2wd turnout will get better and better.

The stock radio I'll take out of the truck and use in something else.

I DONT LIKE THE T4. E-FIRESTORM THEN.

Good Move! I would of bought the 10.5 instead though so I could race in the 19T class which is soon to be called the super stock class by roar. They might give you a problem with the 9.5 if you try and race this class because 10.5 is considered the limit motor wise. Now if you run electric truck mod you will be alright. Maybe try a Trakpower 4900 lipo too. Just make sure to use an lipo approved charger. I run an Losi XXXT-MF2 electric truck by the way. You will like electric truck. It is smoother and handles rough terrain better because of the extra suspension and larger tires.

Good move Brian!

If you decide to go LIPO (almost certainly a good idea) make sure you always follow the instructions!!! Honestly, its not like cocking up a diff, treat them badly and they could burn your house down!!

PS Not dissing LIPO, I have some myself, but hopefully everyone agrees they really must be used correctly!

yeah, probably not as dangerous as nimh but the same goes for nitro fuel as well - pour it all over yourself and set it alight and it's gonna hurt!

I totally agree lipo is very nontollerant of overcharging and charging with the wrong settings or charger. But its advantages more than make up for it. Follow the instructions to the the T an you will be alright.

I wouldn't say NiMh are particularly tolerant of over charging after seeing how they go bang over winter

Jimmy, if you pour nitro fuel over someone else and light it, does it still hurt
