I had something similar happen to me... the parcel went missing... I got a letter from RM with a refund for the value of the parcel, sadly I did not get a refund on the postage cost!!!

How much is the parcel worth?

Unless you sent it via insured delivery, I think they only cover up to £32 or something like that?

they only cover up to £36 if its recorded delivery i think, you can have a much larger value through standard or special delivery parcel... if you ask for it, which day did you post it? I never post on a saturday and try to avoid fridays unless I'm desperate as this is when i've found they tend lose things the most over the gap sunday.

First class and Recorded are both covered for the same value, all Recorded adds is a signature on delivery for you to see it is there (or not as the case may be) Recorded adds NOTHING else. GND12 Guarrenteed Next Day is the service to use, it is "supposed" to be (and usually 99% of the time is) next day and is fully insured for up to £500 as standard (more if you pay extra for it)
