Default ebay forum

Would it be worth stopping ebay links in the for sale section and having a seperate one? or just banning them all together? It sort of goes against the idea of the forum being an entitity that supports itself.

i have seen it both ways. an ebay section helps keep the for sale section running smooth. if some one is here viewing the for sale section then they are looking for things here. if they wanted to look on ebay then they would just go to ebay. i have never looked in the for sale section on any forum site cause i was trying to find stuff on ebay.

if a seller is spamming his ebay link all over forums sites it is solely to run up the price and profet from the free advertizing that the forum is allowing them.

i feel if you want to sell it here then sell it here. if you want to sell it on ebay then do it. having threads that spam ebay links only clutters the for sale section and wastes the bandwith that the site owners are paying for.

just my 2 cents

If im honest i dont really see many Ebay links. Usually things get advertised on here first then if they dont sell people tend to stick them on Ebay as a last resort..

What Gary said ....... I've had my RB5 on here for a couple of weeks, no takers so now going on the bay. If it had been sold off here I'd prefer it as I'd rather deal with people in here as most are genuine people
