Default 6.5 vs 5.5 -- something in-between?

Does anyone else find that a 6.5 is a bit steady in a 4wd these days, but a 5.5 is a bit mad and you always feel like you've got to hold it back?

Anything to do to get something in-between?

With TC's chosing 6.5t lipo with lipo it might bridge the gap a bit more if those are developed more in comparison to other turns.

My 5.5L is better in my 4WD than the 5.5R was.

Yeah the 5.5L is a toned down 5.5R. Less wheel spin the better.
Not only that but it's a couple of grams lighter as well.
There's a few that run the 5.5R at my track, but I've just stuck with a 6.5L.
I'm sure if I went to a 5.5 they would just run a 4.5, to have an edge on me.

You don't have to use full throttle

Good to have you back B-Mag, I thought you would have suggested running 1.5^mm cable to the motor to calm it down

OR you could use less timing advance on your 5.5 to make it softer

I've already got timing set to minimum on the 5.5.

It isn't just the top end, it's the bottom end grunt and mid range that's all a bit too much for my old age!

I find a 7.5 in my Losi XX spot on and will port it to an X Factory when I retire the XX

However the 7.5 Losi in the Cat doesn't quite feel there so I've tried my mates 6.5 in his Cat and it feels very good. Don't want to go lower..

Bother cars are using 3600 Trakpower LIPOs
