Have you broken the previous mounts?
I must admit they looked like they would be a likely broken part when I was building it as the shock towers seem really beefy in comparison.
So its one of the few spares i got.

shock tower is next on the list to break. I didn't buy them for this reason, and it turned out my prediction was correct when one of my friends broke his shock towers after putting them on. My preferrence is to break the shock tower mount. They are universal from front to rear, so if you bought a front and rear bulkhead set, you've already got 2 spares. Secondly, if they just crack in a cart-wheel crash, you can still finish your race as opposed to being finished when the shock tower breaks. I've done this as well. Anyways, just my opinion on the matter. The blue aluminum ones sure do look nice though.

I've seen em on eBay, not there at the moment tho..... http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZs...isetechQQhtZ-1
is the usuall place, i suspect they are a Kyosho part that aint reached the shops yet - I may be very wrong - but there are also graphite shock towers for the ZX-5 and spares for other cars.

i have been having the same problem since changing to the alloy part. As a temporary cure i have backed the stock shock mount with the atomic carbon shock mount to add strenth. im trying this for the first time this weekend so will post with pics and how it went as soon as tested

after extensive strenth testing in practise ( ahem ) this works very well as both myself and trekker went all day without breakage, we used an atomic carbon zx5 front shock mount on the back of the standard ( plastic ) shock mount and elongated the 4 screws that hold it the the mount mount :S so as to sandwich the standard mount between the carbonfibre and the mount. either myself or treker will post a pic as soon as we have cleaned the car as they look like the track sneezed on them at the mo
