Default trf511 questions

I'm pondering getting a trf511 due to sell ing stuff on evilbay but just have a few questions..

What are the essential hop-ups? I know on my 501x the front one way transformed the steering of the car. Does the 511 need this also?

Can I transfer parts from the 501x to the 511?

Is it worth me really getting one over my 501x as I'm not racing nationals etc and my 501x is a loverly car.

the option parts i currently use are the Alu front and rear hubs (because they look pretty) and titanuim turnbuckles for peace of mind.

I think that the car works very well straight out of the box, but that tamiya blue is to hard to resist!

The wishbones are a different design, but same geometry, the 501X being stronger, so all the alloy suspension bits are the same. Drivetrain layout is the same, just, as been said before, the 511X has been made easier to work on.

Front one-way is a good option to have on the car.

There is only one thing i would change on a 511 out of the box to make it bombproof and that would be the ball joints, not rod ends but the balls themselves. The ones on the kit are a bit soft and can bend on impact. Apart from that, it is an awesome car out of the box. As pidge said, the blue bling is very hard not to spend your hard earned on!!

Echo the other guys again, not convinced you'll need the one way as I think it steers more than the 501 anyway, but of course the 501 one way fits do you can try it and see!!
