Just ordered a 511!
After much deliberation, cancelling of the shopping cart then filling it then cancelling it as i kept thinking ' I really dont need this new car ' or 'should I wait to see what the summer brings car wise' along with 'should i get a durango despite seeing the constant niggly problems that the 3 guys at the club have with them' i finally thought sod it and went all the way
Should arrive next week i think, no racing on that week so will have to wait till the following Friday. Just as well as before i can(should) build it up i need to finish a paper on 'The relationship between strength and grain size on nanostructured materials and potential causes of inverse Hall -Petch behaviour' Great Speaking of builds, what are the screws/fasteners supplied with the kit like? Am i best of using a higher quality grade of screw from an engineering fasteners supplier?

The screws are all just fine, no problems there.

My advice is to get ceramic Balls for your diff (3mm)

What they said, screws are fine (pretty tough and nice deep hexes), and well worth getting ceramic balls so the diffs go longer between rebuilds!
Remember to get a bodyshell! |
