Looking forward to seing pics of your 502, Belsten. Do you found it right shimming the diffs according to the manual, i think it was 3 and 2? I made it like this, time will see if it was right.
I remember when building my B44 the gears felt much tighter although the Tamiya gears had no plkay at all when shimming like in the manual but far away from the B44.

I've played safe, 2 spare gear sets coming with mine! Is the spur common with the 201?

Got mine from Stella, I always get my kits there, so we'll see how Mr Customs treats me, so your getting a "few" Jamie?? Spares or to sell on???

I ordered a "few" to put into stock as well as loads of spares for the 502/511 and 201.

Come the new year my new website will be ready, primarily specialising in TRF kits and parts in the UK.

Was it £320 shipped? If so, that's a good price as it will more than likely pass customs without charges because its not from a company.

GaHH!! I am so tempted to get one (and the new 417) I keep thinking I should wait until someone has actually raced on to see if its better than the 501...

Lee Martin at the wheel? So looks like my 511 should be a 502!

Who was at the wheel?

Yep, it was Lee.
Mikey, try running the 511 before you abandon it, you might be surprised at how well it handles, I won't be getting a 502 because personally, I don't like the idea of the shaft drive. If Lee was driving his 511 i'm sure he would have still lapped me in the final as he did with the 502 yesterday. Mine was the yellow 511 that finished in second yesterday, it certainly wasn't slow round the track so I wouldn't give up on it before you've had a go, it's probably worth waiting a while to find out how "normal" humans get on with the 502

Well it is about time you changed your 4WD car, Mike. It's been at least 2 weeks since your last changed it
