Default Etronix Pulse not working?

Hi,
Hi iam runing a b44.1 with a etronix pulse stick transmitter set up,

after a recent session, i lost all communication with the car, nothing would happen ,i check the obivous signs - battery leads , speedo connections,

ive tried re binding the receiver, but still nothing happens, there is power to the receiver , so i bought another receiver - etronix (new blue version)
but same again cant bind to the transmitter,

so next port of call was trying another transmitter / receiver set up, (a assocaited xp tranny) and bingo car works ,

so iam thinking it is a faulty transmitter?

Can anyone shed any light on the fauor or / advise if they have had any problems themselves with ETONIX transmitter??

Please help as this is getting fustrating!

Have a look in the manual somewhere on the last pages; you can reset/re initialize the complete TX (not model reset), rebind and then it should be - hopefully - working again.

Was the original receiver blue or black?
Cos if it was black your tranny will never work with a blue receiver
Sorry if thats a dumb question but i thought i better check after you said new blue receiver

You have a DSSS tranny & the blue receiver is a FHSS system
Problem solved
The 2 different types

The problem you are experiencing is the main one that everybody has talked about on most forums.
it is also the reason they released a new version with the blue receivers.

I have had a number of small issues with my etronix tranny (black receiver)

1) tranny ariel is no good, nick one off a wireless router and swap.

2) take tranny apart and make sure the little modulation board at the base of the ariel mount is secure (mine was hanging loose and did not work).

3) it never showed the correct voltages, and ate batteries like no other.

after doing 1 and 2 mine then worked until there was more than 7 or 8 other drivers on the rostrum, then it would not be able to communicate or find channels that it liked.

as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, i have last week upgraded to a futaba 3gr and not a single problem racing sunday.

You could do what i did & send it back to CML for them to look at
I had the same problems as you & it turned out there are 2 different black receivers, 1 for the basic tranny & 1 for the pro tranny, i was using the wrong version & CML kindly replaced it for the right 1, had no problems since
Top marks for CML & for DMS Racing for sending it for me
