Default 4wd to 2wd

Want to change my ftx vantage to from 4wd to 2wd, have got the ezrun 9t brushless with 35a esc with I now know that with 4wd makes the motos heat up quite bad so to combat this for the moment til my 60a esc arrives to take out main shaft to convert it to 2wd?

Im not sure why do would do this!

Your motor will heat up....most ESC and motors do heat up and this is quite usual. Methods to combat this include putting a heat sink on your ESC or motor

You could also cut small vents in your shell to improve airflow.

Also look at your setup...are you geared right? What surface are you running on or are you just bashing?

Take the main shaft will affect handling and balance in the car. Some people use a front one-way which does effectively make your off-road 2wd but gives better steering. I'm not sure if this is available on the vantage.

Look in the manual.

Maybe you are not geared right.

im thinking about just biting the bullet an getting a new car as ive tried to get the spur gear an everywhere is out of stock an had one company speak to ansmann an they said that they no longer make parts, have been doing some research on the ftx vantage brushed as by looking there are quite a few upgrade parts for it an parts seem to be readily available, do u have any advice at all for a beginer on a car to build up?

I would stick to the master smacker to get your head around racing for now..
