Futaba 3GR charging

Does anyone know the over current protection limit set into the Futaba 3GR Tx. I'm looking to charge cells in the Tx, just curious what the limit is, the manual just says :

The transmitter charging circuit is equipped with an over current protection circuit. If the battery is charged with a quick charger for other than digital proportional R/C sets, it may not be fully charged.

I was looking to charge at about 1A.
