Default Cougar 2000 Timeline / info ?

I need more info about the Cougar 2000. All versions.
Could this be correct? :

* Cougar-2000 1993 first version
* Cougar-2000 early 1994 Spec (new driveshafts)
* Cougar-2000 XPC late 1994 (narrow chassis and SAC)
* Cougar-2000 95-Team 1995 (new rear suspension geometri)

Please correct if this is wrong!

Regarding the SAC. It was sold as an option for the first Cougar-2000, right?
When did Schumacher start to sell it? During 1994?

Hmm, according to that info I am right!
What is important for me to know is the year each car is made and sold.

In the Nordic Vintage Cup we can only use cars from 1994 and older.
I really need to be sure which car and which parts will be "legal" for me to use.

Can I use my Cougar 2000 XPC?
If it was sold in 1994, yes! If it arrived in 1995, no!

When did the SAC front suspension/steering arrived at the market?

Question

If it's u474a then I would of thought you should be fine. The only place to tell you for sure would be Schumacher I'd give them a quick call and ask

1994 Cougar 2000/95 spec U474A £199 Also known as "XPC" spec with narrow chassis, SACs
1995 Cougar '95 Team U499Z £199 3rd at 1994 Euros - narrow chassis, new rr sus. Geometry

I would take that as pretty spot on

I thought the First Cougar 2000 was 1994 as the Cougar 2 Works was 1993. When the first batch of Cougar 2000s came out they had a drive shaft issue. The red alloy drive shafts were too short and would pop out. Schumacher revised this within a couple of months and kits were updated with the longer drive shafts.

But I am almost certain it was 1994 this all happened because I had one and Schumacher replaced the drive shafts free of charge through the model shop. I maybe wrong though.

The Cougar 2000 was definitely available in 1993, it ran in both the euros and worlds that year too. There was an overlap with the Cougar 2 works.

The years in that RC10talk thread are pretty spot on, the only thing it's missing in relation to the Cougar 2000 are the non OEM conversions (COMCOM and FAB2000)

Paul.

I know that the FABIIX-2000 kit was available 1994.
It is still possible to order those parts from FibreLyte, he he...

I will have one FABIIX-2000 Mid enginge car and one rear engine car Race Ready for the Vintage racing 2WD class (in 4WD it will be a CAT-2000 or/and a Yokomo).
I just want o be 100% sure that the Cougar 2000 XPC really was available in 1994! I have now sent an email to Schumacher.
