Need help, identify LRP motor datas?
Hi vintage and brushed motor fans, i've got a fiew motors in a bundle of an yokomo yz-10 and a bundle some other vintage electric stuff and can not find some info about the production years and windings of som of the motors.
Got three of the LRP motors with my car, two of them have the electronic letters in silver and one in blue. May someone can clarify? Thx in advance Mike

... And here ar the others!
I could indentify the reedy motors, but not the team kinwald trinity once. One is new and unused and does have an paper sticker on it, that sayes 10 turns, but not how many wires were used.

Here's my motor collection. There's a bit of a mix in here, including many (MANY!) MG standard motors as I was sponsored by them through the late 80's and early 90's. First one was the Brown Dot from '88 looking at the labels. There are also a couple of the lovely looking Demon units (one standard and one a 16T) - always loved their labels, Red Dots, Pinks, and even an MG Exterminator. Lots of Reedy Modifieds, and two almost unused LRP's withe matching tubs; a White E and a Blue SE. My Yoke also has a newish looking Reedy Ultra Sonic in it from the last time I raced it also. |

Nice, ive got a couple of still in packet Mr series motors plus a couple Mike worked on which are still in great nick. Ones wired to my Worlds 91 RC10 & other to my Lazer ZXS Worlds Proto With Tekin 410k and have a Corally wired into my YZ10 with Tekin 410k. Two more Tekin 410ks to decide on which cars they go into, these were far superior and gave more top end compared to the Novak Cyclone, but like the cyclone due to the solder posts which Tekin copied on their next escs so may fit into my Bosscat with another Reedy Mr motor.

Sounds like you have a few nice set-ups there.
I am thinking i will most likely mount up the MG motors in any shelf builds i complete, seeing as they hold the most nostalgia for me. The pink dots kind of jump out as well! All in sound condition too, looking at them. I definitely need to source a Scorcher after reading this thread as well - i know my mate has one (still think it is my old one) so that is on my hit list for sure. |

B&R Bullet Pro, looks to be in immaculate condition. Very lightly used anyway. I barely remember having this bitd, but reading up on them now they had a highly-strung 44deg advance. Quick for a standard 27T....! Did anybody else run one of these?

This one just surfaced, and I have been looking for it for a while. I remember buying this to go into my Meteor for carpet/tarmac racing. It's a Reedy Silver Dot (21 Double). I still have the armature for it, thankfully. Went like an absolute rocket and could really be geared high. Took a while to wind up but boy did it have some top end!!!
Strange label - must have been re-branded and sold on by Schumacher? |

Few more motors and details.
First up a pair of LRP offerings. I barely ran these, and they still have their original storage tubs. The top one is a White E (15 Double) and the bottom one is a Blue SE (13 Triple). Next up a pair of Cobra standard 27T motors, again only lightly used for i think part of the 1990 race season. Schumacher Gold Nova, which I believe is a 14 Double. Very nice looking label. Very minty looking gold label Demon Power King - 12 Double. More details of some of my MG's, including my treasured '88 Brown Dot. |

Race Prep ceramic shaft armature, which also came with the can and endbell.
I have a selection of Reedy motors too, including a Mr.D (14 Quad), and three of the older 'Dot' varieties, i think they were called the Colour Series(?).... can't recall which ones and don't have them in front of me, but i also have the Silver Dot mentioned earlier in this thread. I seem to recall one of them being a 'Yellow Dot' and another a 'Red Dot'? I will have to check. I also have apair of Revolution motors, a 15 Double (Insane) and a 17 Double (Jr's Choice). The last ever motor I purchased was a Reedy Ultra Sonic 'S' which was a 12 Double. I brought it for my last ever race meeting, and it still sits in the car meaning it has only every run 4 heats and a final. I also have the original packaging for that motor, and it is in perfect condition. Purple MG Exterminator (no idea on spec of that off the top of my head), a TMS Tornado 13 Double, and a very clean and lightly used Trinity 'Monster Horsepower' standard. |

A while ago I got some used brushed motors from someone, in order to use in some vintage runners, which I wanted to keep brushed. I did some initial testing and installed a few in cars, the rest was stored for parts. I'll see if I can shoot some pics one of these days.

What about Shark Attack motors, it didnt last long but I made fifth in the indoor British national finals in 93 or 94 with that as they gave me a motor and a drive and was crazy accelaration with a mediocre top end so tried a 14s against my normal wind a 10d and beat a few of the worlds qualifiers with it in the A so were quite good.

Possibly Jon Leonard and Matthew Witney did as that looks very familiar, and as I pitted around those two almost every week is highly possible.

Got an RRC mag here (Dec '91) with a results table showing Jon Leonard, Jon Latus, Ant Hill and Roy Rogers all using B&R Magnum standards. Matthew Hodgeson also won that race using a B&R Bullet Pro. So half of the A Finalists!
