I got hold of a Speed Passion V3 7.5 for my 2wd a while ago for under £40, which seems very good. TBH I am only a part time racer these days and not up on the latest fashions, but it worked ok for me!

The Speedpassion v3 are a great choice for 2wd. Very smooth. And not too many holes to let in the dirt. Just the connectors on the end are a bit annoying, I prefer direct solder.
I've also used the SkyRC Ares which performed well. Much more torque than the SP, so it was good in a touring car, but not sure it's ideal for a 2wd. |

Another vote for Speed Passion. I've had no problem with the push on connectors coming loose in use, and the only connector that ever felt loose as I was fitting it was easily solved by giving the connector a gentle squeeze with some pliers. It has never moved since!!
