Schumacher Fireblade
OK, so I know it's only on the cusp of being vintage, but tomorrow I should finally get my hands on a Schumacher Fireblade to join my collection.
Now, having started racing back in the very early 90's with a Cougar 2 and a ProCat, I drifted away from Schumacher until I got a Cat2k, but never bothered looking at the 2WD offerings at the time as I preferred 4WD. Now I've got the opportunity to catch up on what I missed! Question is, with the Fireblade being so close to the vintage cut-off......what's the easy way of telling which version it is??

what firblade?
the fireblade had stand up shocks and a laydown servo the fireblade usa the shocks were laid down and the servo was stood up hope that helps the fireblade 2000 s and fireblade were the same car the main difference between the evo 2 is a larger rear bearing and a redesigned front shock tower shock tower the evo did not come with a standard slipper and had cvd drive shafts not the blade type dog dones that's what I remember from when I was running these cars

Fireblade 2000- lay down trans, lay down shocks, lay down servo.
Fireblade USA -lay down trans, stand up shocks, stand up servo. Fireblade Evo/evo2 - stand up trans, stand up shocks, lay down servo. Other small features as well but those are the most prominent |

This is mine and the only pic I have of it, it was jimmy's old one so will get a clean up at some point and then probably spend the rest of its life on the shelf

Thats an Evo
Easily the best version of all, coming from a team driver at that time

It'll certainly help in the collection until I find another CAT 2k!
