whats acceptable % to take from a lipo during race
I think Im needing larger capacity lipo as my stadium truck behaving a bit odd at end of 5 mins final
I put my 2wd buggy 3600 lcg IP pack in there, motor not really turned up but at end of run it cut on me for a second, and I noticed that recharging regularly puts 2100ish back in, so Im taking quite a bit out vs the 3600 capacity Im assuming I be better off getting a couple of 5000+ lipos for the truck?

I fly aircraft as well as race, and my understanding is that its best not to go lower than 20% on a battery tester if you can avoid it to prolong the life of a pack. I am sure some will have different ideas, but that is what I try to do

As remaining capacity drops off, the voltage available does too. Available voltage will also drop momentarily when you do big accels.
So, yes, either the capacity is too low or the LVC is too high. You're *unlikely* to do any damage unless you a) have LVC switched off (so the momentary cut outs are actually brownouts). or b) carry on driving for another couple of minutes. |
