Default Brushed help?????

A few weeks before the indoor finals i ran my 14x2 in my xx4 and it was undereared and it got very hot it worked find afterwards but then the night before the indoor finals i tried it and there was a little puff of smoke come out of the motor and it stoped working. So thought poo have to buy another motor so i did but it was a bit quick so i wanted to try my 14 so i got my motor skimmed(thanks damo and stu) and i put it in my brand new 10x1 can and it went very very very slowly so i thought oh sticky brush someting simple. Then i tried it again after a bit of fiderling and it did it again so i just bunged the 10 back in and put the 14 back in my box and thought nothing of it. SO now i thought ill have a look into the problem. But i cant find anythign wrong with the armature. What can it be the can is fine as i ran my 10x1 armature in it fine but the 14 wont work??????

A

P.S.Help!!!!!!!

sounds to me like a dead segment on the armature... are any of the copper wires on the arm blackened? If so that's the problem...

Ok i tried it in another can and it worked fine on the run in on my charger the when i put it down on the drive to test it it went ok but it was a bit slow but i thought it was my cells as they where a uncharged pack. Then it started to need a nudge to get going. Then i nudged it once and it started going properly i was going bloody quick and didnt need a nudge and i thought cool sorted. Spoke to soon. Then it stopped completely then hasnt worked since.

sounds like you could have shorted some of the windings out, if the insulation has burnt through on some they will short. Sounds like arm is a parrot.
