Default Which Batteries Used in TRF511

Ok guys, just information wise really, wondered what Lipo's people are running in their trf511's?

Only really interested to know which batteries fit in the standard position (centre bulkheads ground down) under the top decks rather than being sat out wide. Especially interested to know if tany of the packs with integrated wires (corally/reedy) fit?

Dave

I keep looking at the 511 Dave must try to be sensible for once !

If you want those bulkheads modding then bring them to Worksop on Sunday and i`ll sort them for you there.

I had TrakPower 3200s under the bulkhead without adjustment.

I've now got IB 4200s, dremelled a small amount off the bulkheads to fit them in standard position.

There's loads of room under the top deck, just a little bit of bulkhead that's in the way. Choppy choppy!

you will get most lipo's in there, just depends on how much you want to file off the motor mount bulkhead..for a 23.5mm lipo you will need to take off about 1.5mm, higher the lipo the more you need to take off and to answer dave's question i run ib4200 which needs about 1.5mm off, but just got the ib5200 and to get them in i need to take about another 1mm off.

Using Fredrik Emilsson's LiPo tray, I have no problems at all (no bulk head Dremeling required) fitting the IP 5 200 mAh 45C LiPos.

The only thing I needed were two spacers/washers on each battery post for them to fit.
