d boots vs Scumacher yellow mini pins
As the title says which is best on Carpet?

Depends on what type of carpet, speed of car, corner types, grip, jumps set ups, driving style/on the drive axle or front...........?

Depends upon the carpet.
In my experience to date, dboots offer more traction on our club carpet. |

Not sure on which is the better tyre as i havent tried any Dboots but after having a look at some Dboots at the weekend, the quality of them is better than the schumacher.

Yet to try them myself, but app they are better grip on carpet, but a lot less grip on sports hall floor/slippy floor areas.
Hope this helps. Mark

Ive run dboots and yellow pins back to back at our club and can safely say ill be sticking with pins. The dboots offer a far higher grip level but they feel to soft and roll more even with firm inserts in them, and they are utter crap on the shiny stuff.
They are however getting better as they wear down as they allow for a little slide instead of grip rolling, but i think pins are better as they are good straight off and until the very end. Just my opinion............. |

I run dBoots at Formby which is low/medium grip carpet and I much prefer them to mini-pins. I seem to get more grip, yet with less grip role. I have firmed them up a bit by using Tubby inserts, which seem to suit them better than standard inserts.
Keep in mind I'm one of your lower quartile drivers and so what suits me may not suit the faster drivers.

i've run the dboots a few times and they seem to generate superb grip. very smooth to drive on like ballistics. The first run from new they didnt feel very good, but once the points wore off they offered loads of grip.
will try them back to back when i get a chance

These are mine after six five minute runs at Chadderton (similar surface to worksop) The spikes are pretty much gone but still gave good grip. Price there about the same as schumachers Schumacher minipins after six five minute runs |

Griff, let us know when you try them back to back.
Paul, I noticed that you were running them at Chatterton..... Craig and Adam were running them too. What I am looking for is the best price for durability and not to lose grip. Let’s face it most of our money goes on tyres at racing, because of the speed, power and quality of the current tyres. The price never goes down always up. I wonder if the price of tyres could be capped by the BRCA (Like motor and batteries). I guess this probably for another thread though!!

I tried them at southport the other week and really liked them, wear rate is similar to pins but with the tire being softer they continue to grip, personally im not a pins fan, they dont last long enough...
Ive got foams for club meetings to keep costs down
